We are recruiting for two new part-time staff members to join our team. You will join a small but growing local charity and social enterprise in Nairn, and have a key role in supporting our community to get involved in environmental projects that benefit the natural environment and the people of Nairn.


Community Projects Worker

We are looking for a team focussed person that thrives on including others in environmental activities. You will grow and support our volunteer community to deliver projects and coordinate events, for example National Apple Day at Nairn Viewfield Community Orchard and Bumblebags sewing group meet ups, and you will support our community to contribute to our organisation’s growth.

This an excellent opportunity to learn about community development and social enterprise, whilst contributing your people skills to support volunteers and practical organisational skills to deliver our community projects.

Contract: Fixed term contract for 18 months from July 2019 to end of December 2020

Hours: 14 hours per week

Salary: £16,380 pro rata (£6,552 actual per annum)

Enterprise Project Officer

Green Hive is growing towards being a social enterprise and we aim to generate a proportion of our income within the next 18 months through recycling, reuse and up-cycling, creating useful and sellable products out of waste materials.

You will be integral to the set up of our two income generating enterprise projects. A practical person skilled in using hand tools who enjoys repairing, up-cycling and creating use out of waste materials, you will set up our workshop and growing space. You will support our volunteers to engage with our enterprises, and support the Development Officer and Green Hive board to build our enterprise business plan through product and sales testing.

Contract: Fixed term contract for 18 months from July 2019 to end of December 2020

Hours: 21 hours per week

Salary: £20,000 pro rata (£12,000 actual per annum)
